2007, 2008 and the start of 2009 have been very eventful years for us here at Trains & Toys, and for the model train industry as a whole.  As many of you know, in June of 2007 in our 26th year of business we moved our store into our new location in North West Dallas just half a mile west of the Galleria. Our new store is smaller, but cozier.  We’ve changed our presentation somewhat: one of each item is displayed in the showroom and all the overstock is in the warehouse.  No more bulk displays, it’s hands-on for everything.  We’ve found many “missing” items as well!
-still the same folks-
Although we have moved we still offer the same great products that have been the foundation of our business since 1981. First, foremost and always we have worked hard to become the Biggest and Best Toy Train specialty store in the Southwest. The move in 2002 from our original location for 21 years at N.W. Highway and Abrams Rd into a huge new building (12,000 sq.ft. with a mezzanine/warehouse) at Skillman and Hwy.635 in Northeast Dallas was a bold move on our part. We greatly expanded our displays and product lines. While it was a wild ride for 5 years, after Christmas of 2006 we decided to downsize a bit and get back to our Classic Trains roots. We feel our new home is much more "user friendly".
-more than a new location....a different style-
We continue to provide the best selection of current and traditional model and toy trains in the Southwest with service for both old and new.

We've dedicated much more wall space to display hundreds of locos, cars and accessories of all eras.

A large section of our warehouse -- the Backshop --is set aside as an everyday train show. Bargains galore on tables and shelves from the collections we regularly acquire.

While we still carry a selection of famousr wooden Thomas the Tank Engine, most of our emphasis is on Operating Electric Trains for youngsters and adults.

We've expanded our on-line presence through our EBay Store (click here to go to the site).

We will be adding our own Trains & Toys Online feature to this website in the future to make your shopping even easier.
